Briefly: BT Media Remote, Yelp iOS, Carmageddon Mobile

Filling a gap in the hands-free market, accessory manufacturer Satechi has begun shipping the BT Media Remote. The remote provides a full complement of media controls, play, pause, next track, volume up, and volume down. The bottom panel of the remote slides down to reveal a numeric keypad to facilitate Bluetooth pairing. A home button will invoke Siri, and holding the volume-up key is a shutter-release button. Parallels adds ‘experimental’ Windows 8 preview support

Parallels has updated its self-named OS virtualizer software, Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac, to be able to automatically download and install the recently-released Windows 8 Release Preview. As with its earlier update in March for the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, support is “experimental” and thus not fully supported as the final release of Windows 8 may make significant changes. Firefox 13 now out with fresh home screen, SPDY support

Microsoft confirms SmartGlass at E3 keynote event
