evasi0n jailbreak tally hits nearly 7 million devices

Almost 7 million iOS devices have been jailbroken since evasi0n was released earlier this week, according to Jay Freeman, administrator of the Cydia app store for jailbreakers. Briefly: TomTomTaxi iOS app, Traktor Kontrol S4 price drop

TomTom has released a new iPhone app that expands upon its taxi hailing service that was launched in Amsterdam back in September. The original service required passengers to hail a cab from a specific terminal, while the new iPhone app can be used to order a cab to any location. The TomTomTaxi app also features the ability to learn about the taxi drivers and even choose favorite drivers when they have a good experience. Apple, Samsung take 103 percent of 2012 cellphone profits

Apple wins patent on fourth-generation iPod shuffle

Apple has won a US patent on the design and construction of the fourth-generation iPod shuffle, says AppleInsider. The patent is actually titled Very small form factor consumer electronic product, but clearly shows the Shuffle in diagrams, and talks about a media player constructed with a single-piece housing and other signature Shuffle elements, such as the clip and clickwheel. ‘Radio buy’ buttons in iOS 6.1 code hint at unreleased tech

After applying the evasi0n jailbreak, the site says it discovered code for a radio button hidden in the iPad Music app, even though the app is only equipped to play local files or content from iTunes Match.
