OtterBox has announced the launch of new military-style camouflage patterns for its Defender Series of iPhone 4/4S cases. Eleven different designs are being offered, ranging from Urban Funk, to Jungle and Desert. Briefly: EDGE Design outs new cases, iPhoneography in Philly

EDGE Design has launched a second set of both the Aktiv and Alfa line of cases for the iPhone 4S and 4. Inspired by the Italian car design company Pininfarina, the cases are constructed from aluminum and feature an interchangeable color band. Both cases sell online for $99 plus shipping and handling, and include a free water resistant pouch for added protection. AT&T drops appeal on iPhone user’s $850 court win

AT&T chose Friday to drop its appeal of an $850 small claims court win over the definition of unlimited data. Following plaintiff Matthew Spaccarelli’s rejection of a settlement, the carrier decided that it would both pay the awarded $850 and cover $85 in court costs. UBS does survey of iPad-awaiting crowds in NYC

Following his raise in AAPL’s 2012 price target to $675 earlier this morning, UBS analyst Maynard Um sent out a note to investors today maintaining a “Buy” rating on AAPL after observing and interviewing buyers in line to purchase a new iPad at some flagship Apple stores in New York City. He said he expects Apple stores to be sold out of iPads over the weekend but noted a number of shifts in buying patterns among the crowd compared to a similar survey done at the iPad 2 launch…. New iPad looks show iPhone 4′s camera, huge graphics core

The new iPad is borrowing familiar parts and suppliers to reach its goals, Chipworks and UBM TechInsights found separately in new examinations on Friday. Apple’s back camera is using the OmniVision OV5650, the same five-megapixel CMOS sensor used in the iPhone 4.
